A wealth of information and opportunities await you as you begin to explore everything we have available for you on our website.  Allow me to share with you some of the excitement about the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) before you browse through our site.

The OSA is tasked with supporting students and student life in the School of Pharmacy. Therefore, we believe it is essential to foster within this office a vibrant and diverse community which is reflective of the vibrancy and diversity we anticipate in our student body.

Our School of Pharmacy mission, vision and goals require that we work hard to retain our students and provide abundant opportunities for student success. Accordingly, the Office of Student Affairs in collaboration with the University will ensure that the services and programs in place help students graduate, find employment and professional satisfaction, stay lifelong learners, contribute to the community, and thereby become productive alumni of American University for Health Sciences, School of Pharmacy.

The Office of Student Affairs aims to:

  • Recruit and retain diverse, high quality students;
  • Provide quality services, co-curricular and extra-curricular programs;
  • Foster a sense of identity and loyalty for the institution: and
  • Create a learning environment that is friendly, supportive and caring.

The OSA interacts with student faculty advisors and the advisors for the student chapters of various professional organizations such as California Pharmacists Association (CPhA), the California Society of Health System Pharmacists (CSHP), American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP), the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), and other professional societies, associations, and organizations. Convenient links to the website for these organizations are located below. Links to other professional and academic resources are located on the Student Resources page. Please take the opportunity to visit and study these. There is much to learn about the landscape of our profession!

As the School of Pharmacy grows, we recognize that our services and programs will also continue to grow to meet the needs of the students that matriculate into the program each year. We also recognize that as we grow and the pharmacy profession is making many landmark changes, and we will keep step with those changes. We desire and seek students who can grow and change with us! We are here to make the educational experience at AUHS SOP fulfilling.
