Eunice Saulson, BS, MS

Bio

Eunice Saulson earned her B.S. in Biochemistry from University of California, Los Angeles and a M.S. in Chemistry from California State University, Long Beach. She joined American University of Health Sciences (AUHS) as faculty member in 2011 and has been teaching general chemistry, organic chemistry and microbiology courses for the School of Pharmacy and School of Nursing. Eunice is also an adjunct chemistry faculty at Chapman University, Cypress College and Fullerton College teaching general chemistry and laboratory courses. She has also been a teaching associate and lecturer in chemistry at California State University, Long Beach for 5 years.

During her thesis research, Eunice has been working on the field of organic chemistry synthesis and has conducted extensive enantioselective studies of phosphate extension reactions (Iodolactonization). Her research project focuses on the synthesis of a series of racemic and optically active phosphotriesters compounds, which were employed as potential inhibitors of butylcholinesterase and acetylcholinesterase in the studies of Alzheimer’s disease. She is experienced in various organic chemistry analytical technologies such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, gas chromatography, mass spectroscopy and infrared spectroscopy. She has also trained several undergraduate researchers in her laboratory.

Eunice believes that every student has the potential and ability to excel in science. Throughout her extensive teaching experience, Eunice developed strong skills and sense in working with students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. She has helped numerous students to achieve excellence in science education, an essential milestone in pharmacy school success. She is well-liked by her students.

Tien Quang Truong, MA

Bio

Tien Truong, a mathematics professor, earned his Teaching Credential, M.A. and B.A. Degrees in Mathematics at California State University of Fullerton. He worked as a teacher associate for two years while working on his Master Degree in 2008 at CSUF. After graduation, he started to teach secondary education for Anaheim Union High School District, working as a short term and long term substitute, from 2010-2015.

Tien Truong is also a private tutor from 2008 to the present.He tutors many subjects ranging from elementary algebra to calculus. He has taught many students with different levels from elementary to college. Currently, Tien Truong is teaching at Golden West College as an adjunct instructor for the math department. He has taught Statistics and Calculus and is currently teaching Statistics and Trigonometry for the Fall of 2016.
Currently, Tien Truong is also teaching as a part time professor at American University Health Sciences. He teaches Elementary Algebra, Quantitative Reasoning, and Statistics. Tien Truong joined AUHS since Summer 2014.He is also a member of the General Education Department at AUHS.

Pamela Wu, DPA, RDN

Bio

Pamela Wu, DPA, RDN, has been in the healthcare industry of over twenty years. Dr. Wu has worked in a variety of healthcare settings including in clinical, public health, education, corporate wellness, management and global consumer safety. She has taught nutrition at Mount San Antonio College as an adjunct faculty. She now teaches nutrition as an adjunct faculty at American University of Health Sciences (AUHS) for two years in the Bachelors of Science in Nursing program.

D. Wu graduated with her BS and MS from the California State University, Los Angeles and holds a Doctorate Degree in Public Administration from the University of Le Verne. She is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and have held varies positions in the organization. She is currently a member of the Quality Management Committee, Diversity Committee Member and former Chair of the Chinese American in Nutrition and Dietetics.

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading, hiking and volunteering in her local community.
