About Dr. Caroll Ryan
Dr. Ryan’s career in higher education spans more than 20 years. In addition to her extensive background in administration and leadership, Dr. Ryan has taught graduate psychology courses and served on numerous university committees.
Dr. Ryan is active in multiple professional organizations, including the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers, the Distance Learning Association, the European Distance Learning Association and the California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools. She served on the Education Standards Committee of the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) as well as on its Appeals Panel. She also participated on numerous site visits as a DEAC Educational Standards Reviewer.
Dr. Ryan managed a successful private therapeutic practice for more than 20 years, specializing in marriage and family therapy, depression, sports and performance psychology and addiction recovery, among other areas.
Dr. Ryan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University at Fullerton, her Master of Arts in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from Azusa Pacific University and her PhD in Psychology from Northcentral University.
