Academics

Since 2003, the AUHS School of Nursing has been equipping students with the skills necessary to advance their careers within the nursing field and provide patients with the highest possible level of care. At the AUHS School of Nursing, students are able to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing – a highly valued degree that is becoming increasingly sought after in modern hospitals.

As a Christian, community-oriented university, caring and compassion are at the core of our nursing program. It is our strong belief that the world’s best nurses are those who are not only well-educated and competent but are also completely compassionate and sympathetic about the needs of their patients. As such, we make it our mission to provide an education and environment at the AUHS School of Nursing that nurtures these tendencies.

Students who pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the AUHS School of Nursing can look forward to an education that combines in-classroom learning with hands-on experience at a number of clinical training facilities nearby the AUHS campus. These facilities allow AUHS students to practice the skills they learn in clinical contexts that will leave them well prepared to enter their careers.

As an added benefit, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing at AUHS is an accelerated program. This means students will be able to complete their degree in far less time than would be possible in a non-accelerated program.

Of course, once you settle in to beautiful Signal Hill, California, you may find yourself wishing you could stay longer. Snow-capped ski slopes, white sand beaches, and shimmering skylines are just a few of the attractions that AUHS students are able to enjoy during their time here. Combine this with a friendly, faith-based environment as well as the many merits of the program itself and the AUHS School of Nursing becomes a rewarding option for nursing students to consider.
