Dr. Leonor (Lenie) Salalila, DNP, MSN-EdBC, MHA, FNP-C, APRN, PHN is an Adjunct Clinical Faculty (Graduate Studies) in AUHS since 2021. Dr. Salalila is a board-certified nurse practitioner with vast clinical experience in Family and Primary Health Care, Hospice, and Palliative Care, and has over 20 years of experience in various clinical settings including ICU, PCU, Emergency Room, Medical Surgical, Acute and Home health setting.
With over 10 years of experience in academia and 20 years in clinical setting, Dr Salalila has made significant contribution to developing and advancing nursing education and practice. Dr. Salalila holds a Doctor of Nursing degree, graduated Summa Cum laude from University of Saint Augustine Florida with her thesis/dissertation being “An Evidence based approach in decreasing burn-out in Healthcare workers” which is one of the most downable research study in her school website and in several researched nursing-based publications to name a few.
As an Educator and a clinician, Dr. Salalila is a strong advocate in ensuring that clinical educators play a crucial role in enhancing the skills and competencies of healthcare professionals. She believes in mentorships as Clinical educators guide and mentor future nurses, combining instructional roles with practical experience, deliver comprehensive education to students, provide expert clinical knowledge and support to the clinical team, ensuring high standards of patient care.
