Bio
Since 2014, Grygorii Koval has been permanently teaching classical guitar in Switzerland, gaining experience working with students of all levels and age categories. Grygorii graduated from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance and a Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy in 2017. In addition to his solo performances, Grygorii often plays chamber music with various instruments and is a regular participant in some of the world’s most prestigious masterclasses, including the Summer Guitar School with Prof. Oscar Ghiglia in Siena, Italy. He has studied with renowned artists such as Pablo Marquez, Marcin Dylla, Aniello Desiderio, and Pepe Romero. In June 2021, Grygorii received his second Master’s degree in Music Performance at the Lugano Conservatoire (Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana), studying under Prof. Lorenzo Micheli. Grygorii is currently completing his doctoral program in classical guitar performance and serves as a teaching assistant at USC Thornton School of Music in the class of Grammy nominee Prof. Bill Kanengiser.
