Bio
Lester Belo is an Adjunct Faculty member at the American University of Health Sciences (AUHS) School of Nursing and a Public Health Nurse Supervisor with Los Angeles County, bringing over a decade of diverse nursing experience across acute care, community health, and leadership roles. His clinical background spans medical-surgical, telemetry, step-down ICU, and telehealth services, with a strong emphasis on holistic, patient-centered care for underserved populations.
Currently serving as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve Nurse Corps (Inactive Ready Reserve), Lester has prior experience in military medical operations, personnel readiness, and training. His leadership philosophy is grounded in servant leadership and mentorship, and he is deeply committed to guiding future nurses through evidence-based practice and real-world clinical insight.
Lester is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), with research focused on improving mental health literacy and reducing stigma among undergraduate nursing students. He is dedicated to advancing health equity, resilience, and compassionate care through a multidisciplinary, community-focused approach.
