Bio
Dr. Gregorio L. De Grano serves as the Dean of the Nursing Graduate Program and is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of clinical experience. He has worked extensively in Intensive Care (ICU), Progressive Care (PCU), Emergency Room, Medical-Surgical, Acute, and Intra-operative Hemodialysis settings. He specializes in Family and Primary Health Care, as well as Hospice and Palliative Care.
For over a decade, Dr. De Grano has shaped nursing education through his academic work. He prepares advanced practice nurses and future nursing leaders by emphasizing evidence-based care, interprofessional collaboration, and integrating ethics, cultural competence, and leadership into the curriculum.
Dr. De Grano leads with compassion and strongly believes in the power of mentorship. He actively supports the personal and professional development of students and faculty. Through his collaborative approach to curriculum development, he keeps nursing education innovative, relevant, and responsive to the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
