Bio
Denise (Dee) Jackson Gatewood contributes to teaching clinical courses for Women’s Health at AUHS. She is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with over 35 years of experience in Women’s Health in clinical practice, academia, and leadership. Dee has an advanced degree from Chamberlain Nursing University for Nursing Executive Leadership and is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Dee has a rich background in maternal-child health, labor and delivery, and high-risk obstetrics. Dee is a mentor and educator, providing staff development, training, and in-service education to improve clinical outcomes.
She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Chamberlain College of Nursing and a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Los Angeles County UCLA Nurse Practitioner Program. Her expertise includes prenatal and postpartum care, reproductive health counseling, family planning, and managing high-risk obstetric cases.
