Research Medical Assistant (RMA)
The Research Medical Assistant profession is growing rapidly. Scientists, physicians and researchers are looking for RMA's to work in a variety of settings and need them to perform new, patient-oriented tasks. The Research Medical Assistant is becoming more and more important in this growing occupation because Scientists, and Physician Investigators are relying increasingly on Research Medical Assistants for help in expanding the Scientist/Physician/s scope of practice. Some basic tasks that the RMA will perform are:



Full Time: M-F 7AM-1PM
Externship: 40hrs/wk
Program Length: 837 hrs (~7 months)

Part Time: M-Th 2PM-6PM
Externship: 30hrs/wk
Program Length: 837 hrs (~11 months)

  • Checking and ensuring patient inclusion/exclusion
  • Enter patient information for patient profile
  • Protocol compliance
  • Patient history
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Consent forms
  • Preparing FDA paperwork
  • And many other tasks
