duties : perform day-to-day functions that support effective library operations. The Assistant is responsible for managing and processing new books, periodicals, handling the library mail, maintaining the library physical space (shelving, weeding, shifting), ordering library supplies and interacting with library users as necessary. This position requires knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and the Internet. The ideal candidate will be personable and well-organized with an attention to detail, have a technical aptitude.
 
 

position open : Sales/Marketing Representative

Small, Private, Christian-Based, Minority Serving, Degree Granting Institute is in search of experienced Sales/Marketing Representatives who are results-oriented, able to move quickly in closing sales while also developing successful sales strategies with the intent of enrolling students within our various programs.  Committed individuals who desire to develop access for highly trained individuals in various areas within the medical pharmaceutical and research communities, while fostering scientific development within disenfranchised populations, thus affording them an opportunity to see their dreams come true.  Able to assist and take a leadership role in attracting and signing up students and identifying community resources that can then refer students working towards these self-same goals of inclusion for minorities in scientific excellence.

BA/BS.  Must have demonstrated prior success in sales. Accustomed  to meeting or exceeding sales quotas. Must have excellent presentation and communications skills (i.e. verbal and written). Computer skills. MS Office, PhotoShop and PageMaker a plus. Creativity. Must have Project Management. Good organizational and multi-tasking skills. Self-starter.  Imaginative.  Well organized. Research and marketing skills.  Closing skills. Telemarketing and appointment setting skills. Inside and outside sales. Public relations. Prior business development, marketing and public relations experience or training a plus.  Prior research or project management training or experience a plus. Bilingual Chinese, Spanish, Vietnamese or Korean or other language a plus. Enjoys conceptualizing and taking a project to successful completion.  Results oriented.  Appreciates the personal and the financial reward in creating a change for the betterment of others as the primary motivation.
